Allen Carter$1,025,500

Siège 1 : Hilbert Shirey

/ Niveau 19: 15,000-30,000

Places assises 1
Hilbert Shirey
1,353,000 (3rd en chips, 45 gros blinds)

Hilbert "Hillstreet" Shirey may not be familiar to most poker fans, as he hasn't made any big final tables in the era of televised poker. But he is definitely the most experienced player at this table, and the only one with a WSOP bracelet. Actually, he has trois of them, including back-to-back bracelets in the 1995 Série mondiale de poker.

Shirey has accumulated nearly $1.3 million in career earnings over the course of his 30-year poker career, which includes 26 cashes at the WSOP and 3 more in previous WPT tournaments.

Shirey, 61, has been self-employed his entire life, and he's married with six children.

/ Niveau 19: 15,000-30,000

Places assises 2
Bobby Suer
651,000 (5e en chips, 21 gros blinds)

Bobby Suer was neck-and-neck with Vanessa Rousso as the shortest stack with nine players left, and he was all in preflop with [QcQs] against two other players, one of whom held [AcAd]. But by the time the cards were shown on the turn, he had flopped a set of ladies to triple up, putting him back in contention. In the next 20 minutes, three more players busted, and Suer had solidified his comeback by reaching the televised WPT Final Table.

Suer has only been playing big tournaments for the last two years or so, and he has already accumulated over $200,000 in earnings, including two WPT cashes and one in the WSOP. His best finish is second place in a Bellagio $3,000 prelim at the 2008 Five Star World Poker Classic, which earned him a six-figure payday. If he finishes fifth or higher here today, he'll have a new career high, but he's hoping for his first seven-figure payday.

Suer, 47, is a radiologist and married with four children. He was born and raised in California.

/ Niveau 19: 15,000-30,000

Places assises 3
Tyler-Smith
1,271,000 (4e en chips, 42 gros blinds)

Tyler Smith (online name: "Tydean") was involved in some of the key pots at the end of Day 3 -- in the span of the final 10 hands Smith had his aces cracked by Bobby Suer's set of queens, then came back to bust Jeff Coutroulis (9e) et Tony Cousineau (8ème).

Smith, 22, is the local player at the table, born and raised right here in Mississippi. But he's no rookie, as Smith has plenty of online experience in addition to winning a WSOP ring at the WSOP Circuit stop in New Orleans last spring.

/ Niveau 19: 15,000-30,000

Places assises 4
Allen Carter
1,673,000 (2nd en chips, 55 gros blinds)

Allen Carter (online name: "AawwNutz") is another online player, but this 40-year-old former accountant is more in the mold of Chris Moneymaker himself, rather than the thousands of twenty-something online pros that Moneymaker inspired.

Carter has plenty of online tournament victories, but only a handful of live cashes. His biggest was a fourth-place finish in $2,500 no-limit hold'em at the Bellagio Five Diamond World Poker Classic last spring.

Carter is married with four children, and he was born and raised in Texas. Carter has a Bachelors of Accounting from Angelo State University and a Masters degree from University of Texas, Dallas, but his career switched gears 15 years ago when he left accounting to become an entrepreneur.

/ Niveau 19: 15,000-30,000

Places assises 5
Soheil Shamseddin
3,061,000 (1st en chips, 102 gros blinds)

Shamseddin may be another name most fans are unfamiliar with, but Bluff Magazine ranked him #15 dans leur 2008 Player of the Year rankings, and he has earned more than $500,000 in live tournaments the past two years. In that time, he has two WSOP final tables (finishing fourth both times), and one WPT cash, which came in last season's WPT World Championship. Shamseddin also won two different $2,500 événements de hold'em sans limite au 2008 Bellagio Festa al Lago, taking home a combined total of $153,355

In this tournament, Shamseddin really broke away from the pack on Day 3. When they left for dinner with 10 players left, he had nearly three times as many chips as the second-place player. Shamseddin carried that momentum to the end of the day, and finishes the day a little less dominating -- not quite twice as many chips as the second-place player.

Shamseddin, 52, was born in Iran but raised in Houston, Texas. Shamseddin has two children, and one granddaughter.

/ Niveau 19: 15,000-30,000

Places assises 6
Chuck Kim
486,000 (6e en chips, 16 gros blinds)

Hyong "Chuck" Kim doesn't show up in any of the major tournament databases, but that is about to change here today, as he's guaranteed to enter the poker record with anywhere between $105,000 et $1 millions.

Kim, 35, was born in Seoul, South Korea, but grew up in Las Vegas. He studied Information Technology at the University of Texas, though he recently left a career in sales to play poker. Reaching the final table in his first WPT event is a great start, but he'd love to win the title and really announce his presence with authority.
