The prizepool for this event was guaranteed to be at least $1 million, a mark that was easily cleared earlier this week. But as the field grew in size, the prizepool increased -- and with this morning's turbo flight, it passed the $1.5 million mark and continued to grow.

Even though the prizepool easily surpassed the guarantee, the World Poker Tour wanted it to be even higher. So the WPT is adding money to increase the prizepool to an even $2 millions, un chiffre digne de ce grand événement WPT.

Players are close to hitting their second break of the day and we've already lost more than half of the field. Only 350 players remain including WSOP Circuit winner and two-time WPT final table member Jacob Bazeley. He was one of the very last alternates to get in the game but he's having fun trying to run up his turbo stack.

Brad Garrett (pictured above) started this flight at Table 42 in the corner of the main tournament area, and the Emmy-winning actor/comedian always creates a fun table for the players fortunate enough to be seated next to him.

Dans ce vol, la table était encore meilleure que cela, car Garrett partageait une table avec Maria Ho et Tommy Vedes, membre du WPT Champions Club (photo ci-dessous).

Unfortunately, Ho has since busted, but she is seated at a restaurant near the tournament area, and says she has a great spot for watching the players leave as they are eliminated.

The field size for Turbo Flight 1J is up to 750 entries, and all alternates have been called to the tournament area. Official numbers should be available soon.
