Trois jours de poker et une participation record à l'Emperor's Palace se sont terminés aujourd'hui avec Daniel Habib en tête. Cette victoire est la première pour Habib dans un événement du World Poker Tour et la deuxième au classement général à Johannesburg.

In a field of 456, Habib's cash game experience paid off as he was able to manage the long hours of Day 2 after buying in at the start of play and staying mentally strong through the grind.

Habib surged to the top of the leaderboard after the Day 3 money bubble when he cracked aces with a set of tens. Bubble boy Ryan Bytensky got his chips in with  contre l'  de Habib. Le  hit the turn to give Habib the pot and one of the top stacks in the tournament at that stage.

Après une 15-minute discussion about how best to divide the remaining prize pool, the four remaining players agreed on a deal. Daniel Habib takes the most money and the official title along with the WPTDeepStacks trophy.

Justin Uys and Muaaz Gani both take the same amount with Simon Solomon taking more than third place money as the short stack. The payouts along with the original prize amounts are below. A winner's recap will be posted shortly.

With the blinds now up to 60,000/120,000, below are the official updated counts. Daniel Habib and Justin Uys are right next to each other for the chip lead with Muaaz Gani lingering behind. Simon Solomon is the short stack but only one double up away from taking the lead. Players are currently on a short break.

Chris Convery (photo) a tiré sur son stack contre Daniel Habib et en a perdu quelques autres contre Justin Uys peu de temps après. Convery a essayé d'en récupérer mais s'est heurté à la main brevetée de Simon Solomon pour faire faillite.

Francisco Henschl (pictured) and Muaaz Gani tangled in a large pot earlier at the final table and this time, Gani got the better of his neighbor.

Gani limped the small blind and Henschl checked his option. Gani bet 80,000 sur le  flop and Henschl went to 450,000. Gani shoved, barely having Henschl covered and Henschl called for 1,760,000 au .

Gani opened the hijack to 130,000 and Henschl called on the button. Jaime Vilela came in from the big blind and then checked the  flop. Gani checked as well and Henschl bet 165,000. Vilela folded and Gani made it 525,000.

Michael Finley (photo) est entré dans la table finale en tant que dernier joueur né aux États-Unis à rester sur le terrain, mais il s'est heurté à une scie circulaire tenue par Francisco Henschl pour tomber neuvième.
