Remigiusz Wyrzykiewicz
Today the third of four starting flights took place. Starting at 10 je suis 44 early birds took their seats in the Main Event organised by Club Pierre Charron and held at the Palais des Congrès de Paris. That number spiralled as the day went on and by the time late registration had closed at the start of Level 10, 228 entries had been logged. That makes Day 1c officially the most popular flight yet in the €1,500 un événement.
Ce fut une journée aux fortunes diverses pour ceux qui y ont participé, mais il n'y avait aucun doute quant au genre de journée. Remigiusz Wyrzykiewicz (222,900) had, with the Pole going through not only as chip leader but as the only player to accumulate more than 200k chips. Currently, he is in third position overall, with Eric Souvay (268,300) et Giuseppe Zarbo (260,000) ahead of him.
La main qui a déclenché son ascension était sans aucun doute dans un énorme affrontement avec Fabrice Amouyal pendant le niveau 9. Wyrzykiewicz had opened ace-jack in early position and Amouyal defended his big blind. They both hit trip jacks by the river and when Wyrzykiewicz bet 11,000, Amouyal reraised all in for around 50,000 effective. Wyrzykiewicz's ace kicker played with Amouyal holding jack-ten and that hand put him up to 150,000. Impressively, Amouyal managed to build from 10,000 retour à 57,300 à la fin.

Gregory Luttke-Grech
Gregory Luttke-Grech, champion du WPTDS Bruxelles (140,000) finished just shy of the top five, taking the seventh spot. Philipp Zukernik (85,400), Jérémy Nock (79,800), Clyde Tjauw Foe (77,100), Raoul Réfos (76,100), Romain Lewis (59,600), Bruno s'amuse (59,600), Rémi Castaignon (57,000), Antoine Vranken (52,800), José Astima (37,900) et Antoine Saout (25,800) were some of the other big names who found a bag.
Thierry Luksenberg, Paul Tedeschi ainsi que Anatoli Zyrin were among the casualties though. Zyrin managed to get it in good in a three-way pot during the penultimate level of the night. The hand began with Andrew Ackah Miezan moving all in with 14bb in early position. It then folded to Stephane Nicot in the hijack who shoved 58bb and Zyrin tank-called with pocket tens. He was ahead as both opponents held ace-queen but despite hitting a set on the flop, a runner-runner straight hit by the river and he hit the rail.
Tonight, at 9 pm sees the last starting flight get underway. Then tomorrow, all those who have progressed from Days 1un & 1c will return for Day 2un à 10 am, and those going through from Days 1bande 1d play Day 2chauve souris 8 après-midi.
