Voici donc les faits Mesdames et Messieurs.
Il y avait 203 people in the starting field for Day 1b. If you combine that with the 176 people who started Day 1a you have a final total of 379 players each contributing to a final prizepool of €1,164,288. Il y avait 105 survivors today and 113 yesterday meaning we have a total of 218 people who will be returning for Day 2 tomorrow...come on...keep up!
The overall chip leader is Jean-Francois Rigollet who bagged up a total of 164,700 chips, just eclipsing the total of 163,600 accumulated by Nicolas Babel yesterday.
We were complaining about the lack of superstars yesterday, but the Day 1b field more than made up for it. We had two famous poker couples on show with Liv Boeree/Kevin MacPhee and Catherine Hong/Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier. As usual the women outlasted the men with both ElkY and MacPhee heading to the dinosaur park next door, while Hong and Boeree finished their days work at the poker table, both hotties making it through to Day 2.
Also through to Day two are Jamie Rosen (145,300), Arnaud Mattern (114,280), Nesrine Kourdourli (84,700), Joseph Cheong (124,200), Marvin Rettenmaier (112,000) and famous French rap artist Bruno "Kool Sheen" Lopes (112,000).
Make sure you join the beautiful women, chip rifflers and rap artists tomorrow at 12.00 (CET) when the WPT Amneville tournament continues.
